Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management celebrated its 27th Foundation Day

NewDelhi: Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi observed its 27th Foundation Day on 23rd February 2022 on the theme Vibrant India, Young India & Strong India which was the dream of Lal Bahadur Shastri The event took place at LBSIM premises.

The event started with a screening of the film on Shastri Ji which commemorated his praiseworthy deeds for the nation, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Praveen Gupta, Director, LBSIM, while enlightening and encouraging the students with their words toward Vibrant India, Young India & Strong India,

The Chief Guest Shri Atul Sobti, Director-General SCOPE, and former CMD, BHEL articulated that all students need to invoke their brilliance and competency for overall nation-building. He also stressed that there are enough opportunities existing in India and we should not get enamoured for going abroad. He also asked all students to follow their passion, take risks and do everything with full commitment, honesty and be aspirational.

Mr. Atul Sobti articulated, “Shastri Ji envisioned to see the youth of India growing and making their country proud by reaching immense heights through their honesty, dedication, and positive attitude for their country, through their goals. This institute dwells the quality of making their students vibrant and strong, and making sure that the young generation that they are training are not only ready to fight with any circumstances they get to face in their coming future but, with their leadership, they leave an indelible impression in the lives of every countryman.” He also focused on various topics like political unrest, social exclusions, inequality, economic distress, and identity-driven conflicts. He also urged on the fact that the Youth can make all the Difference in the World.

Mr. Suhail Sameer in his address to the audience asked all students to invoke their brilliance and competency for overall nation-building. He stressed that there are enough opportunities that exist in India, and we should not get enamoured for going abroad. He asked all students to follow their passion, take risks and do everything with full commitment, honesty and be aspirational.

Adding to this, Shri Anil Shastri in his presidential address said “Shastri Ji’s contributions to our public life were unique in that they were made in the closest proximity to the life of the common man in India. Shastri Ji’s leadership of the country as Prime Minister of India is inscribed in golden letters. Sir congratulated all students and staff and wish them the success and heights they aspire to reach, and believe that this strong, young, and vibrant group of people will put their contribution in such a way, that it will not only change their lives but influence every coming generation to do something that adds on to the pride of our nation.”

The event Also witnessed LBSIM Delhi celebrating the noteworthy contribution of her alumni and honoured them for their distinguished service to their chosen field.

The event was concluded by a vote of thanks given by Dr. G.L. Sharma, Placement Advisor.
